It was a pleasure to join innovation and businesses experts from across the Riverina this week, as well as Minister for Better Regulation and Fair Trading, Minister for Industry and Trade, Anoulack Chanthivong, to set the state’s strategic direction on innovation through the NSW Innovation Blueprint.

We heard from business and innovation leaders who delivered their insights into the region’s thriving innovation ecosystem, and their vision for the future.

The roundtable was an opportunity to showcase the work of local innovators and make sure their voices were heard as the state refocusses its strategic direction, and the tour of the Agripark facility was a great opportunity to see this innovation in action.

For too long the huge opportunities in our regions have too often been ignored.

Of course, we have incredible innovators in the agriculture sector but it’s much broader than that.

We have leaders in education, health, manufacturing, the creative sector and much more but we need to harness those talents to achieve our full potential, so I’m pleased to be working with the government to develop opportunities and pathways for our innovators to shine.
