Student-volunteers kicking goals for their community

The NSW Premier’s Volunteer Recognition Awards recognise and honour the achievements of secondary students across the state, who have given up their time in the service of others.

Declan Rohrich is a talented young soccer player, who has endlessly offered his time as a referee and coach to the soccer community and to small schools. Declan recently redereed the Wagga PSSA soccer knockout and is a role model to younger players.

Leila Wadley is a talented young netball player, who has volunteered as an umpire when needed. She is always willing to help out younger players and “never says no”.

Milly Lucas is the first to put up her hand for any event, especially those involving sport. The talented young lady is quick to support feeder school sporting events and referees for smaller touch football games.

Maisy Condon is also quick to volunteer her time when feeder schools host their sporting events. A talented athlete herself, Maisy referees for smaller touch football games too.

Congratulations to you all.
