RIVERINA INTERMODAL FREIGHT HUB: SOD TURN

There’s some great news for the Wagga Wagga region with construction of the next stage of the Riverina Intermodal Freight and Logistics hub now under way.

When it’s finished, this long-awaited project will enable the 60-hectare Bomen Industrial Precinct in Wagga Wagga to export freight across Australia and the globe.

I joined Deputy Premier John Barilaro, Wagga Wagga Council Mayor Greg Conkey and NSW Nationals Wes Fang MLC today for the official sod turning at Bomen.

As Mr Barilaro said, the development of the Bomen industrial precinct is fantastic news for the Riverina region, boosting the capacity to share our exports with the world.

The RIFL hub, the Inland Rail and the Wagga Wagga Special Activation Precinct will, when completed, work together access to national and international markets for regional businesses and products.

As we work together to get back on our feet in 2021, it is regional NSW that is leading the way.
