There was a sea of green and a great atmosphere at the official opening of the Carevan Centre on Fernleigh Road on this afternoon; and what an honour it was to open the centre!
The centre is the result of much hard work by volunteers, and generous donations from the community. It’s a magnificent facility equipped with an industrial kitchen, as well as officers and rooms for volunteers.
Carevan is a great example of putting individual needs aside and combining for the common good. The volunteers, the donations from the community and from organisations, and the work of schools all comes together to support those less fortunate than ourselves.
We were privileged to have the founder of Carevan, Dr John Brabant there, who was very impressed with the work done here in Wagga Wagga.
