I had the pleasure of touring Lilier Lodge, and viewing the recent work that has been completed on the centre between 2018 and 2021 thanks to fundraising efforts and grant funding.

Upgrades to the facility included a new kitchen and kitchen garden and deck, new commercial washing machine and dryer, shade sails over the car park, and the replacement of air conditioning units.

Caring is a really important factor in people’s recovery. Having a warm, comfortable and caring place, where people feel supported and can share their experiences, is just so important.

I want to acknowledge the work of staff and volunteers at Lilier Lodge, as well as the Cancer Council, and the volunteers from Can Assist for their hard work.
