I was pleased to be able to lend my support today to Wagga Wagga members of the Health Services Union, who are calling for a wage rise.

I know what a difference these health care workers make to the system. I know from my own personal experience how important the work they do is for the community.

The health system is clearly under pressure in NSW, especially in rural areas where chronic staff shortages have been made worse by the pandemic.

For the past two years, these healthcare heroes have been vital in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. It is time these hard workers were acknowledged.
