It was an honour to attend an historic ceremony in parliament today.
The late Virginia Chadwick has been immortalised, with the unveiling of her marble bust in the NSW Legislative Council chamber, the first unveiling of a bust in the Legislative Council in 107 years.
Mrs Chadwick was the first female President of the Legislative Council, and becomes the first woman to have a bust in the Chamber.
Congratulations to my parliamentary colleague, Catherine Cusack MLC, for her very moving speech.
