It was wonderful to be on hand this morning as environmental sustainability champion, Dick Green, was inducted as the 38th Walk of Honour Recipient.

The plaque recognises his enthusiastic dedication, over decades, to the pursuit of a sustainable

future for Wagga Wagga.

Mr Green has worked for Greening Australia, alongside his volunteering commitments with local community organisations such as Wagga Urban Landcare and Erin Earth.

In 2002 he also worked with local Wiradjuri Elders and community members to compile the Wiradjuri Heritage Study for Wagga Wagga.

I'd like to once again extend my congratulations to Dick Green, an extremely worthy Walk of Honour recipient!
