I had a wonderful time on Saturday at the 100 year anniversary of the Country Women's Association.
The whole event was fantastic, full of camaraderie - and a touch of radicalism - and we enjoyed a great lunch, organised by the CWA Riverina group, of course.
The keynote address was given by Karen Hodges, District Controller for the RFS in the Hawkesbury District. She was in control of the Gospers Mountain 2019/2020 fire - the largest fire from a single ignition point in the history of recorded fires.
She gave an inspiring presentation! Karen is also the daughter of Ann Adams, who was called upon to present her with a thank you gift and acknowledgement, and this was quite an emotional moment.
