It was an honour to lay a wreath at the Vietnam Veteran’s Day commemorative service at the Victory Memorial Gardens this morning.
Today’s service honoured the approximately 60,000 Australians who served in the Vietnam War. Of these, 3,000 were wounded, and 521 were killed.
Today, August 18, marks the 56th anniversary of the Battle of Long Tan, where 18 Australia soldiers lost their lives.
