It was wonderful to be part of the Wagga Wagga Business Chamber's first Long Lunch event yesterday, as they brought business leaders from across the community together to discuss key topics and issues.
The discussion focused on the skills and workforce shortage currently facing the Wagga Wagga business community, and featured speakers and panelists including Naomi Stuart, State Business Bank Executive from NAB, Rebecca Ackland, Chief of People and Culture, and Clare MacAdie, Talent Acquisition Manager for Southern Cross Austereo, Daniel Challis from Riverina Oils and Rhys Bower from Bower Wood Lawyers.
The event also served as the launch of the “I work in Wagga” campaign, designed to address the misconceptions that there are no career opportunities in regional areas.
