Earlier this week I took part in the NSW Anti-Slavery Commissioners Forum, held in Griffith, in my capacity as Chair of the New South Wales Parliamentary Anti-Slavery Committee.
The forum was an opportunity for community members to share their perspectives, hear about the impact of modern slavery, and to hear from advocates and those working in the area.
I'd like to congratulate the Member for Murray for beginning the discussion in her community and across our region.
Pictured here with me are NSW Anti-Slavery Commissioner, James Cockayne, Deputy Mayor of Griffith, Anne Napoli, Member for Murray, Helen Dalton, Chair of the Griffith Multicultural Council, Carmel La Rocca, and survivor and long-time advocate, Moe Turaga.
