It was fantastic to attend the year 7/8 basketball carnival, hosted by Clontarf Kooringal Academy, here in Wagga Wagga at the PCYC last week.

Clontarf Academies from Kooringal, Mount Austin, Tumut and James Fallon High Schools were involved in the carnival, where I had the pleasure of presenting the Spirit Awards, and watching some of the play.

The participants showed great enthusiasm and fair play, clearly enjoyed the day, and were a credit to their respective schools and communities.

Thank you to the Clontarf program and organisers for inviting me along; the academies are growing and changing and making a real difference to our communities.
