Yesterday in parliament I was delighted to take part in RSPCA NSW's annual Cupcake Day!
The RSPCA in every Australian state and territory work hard every day to care for animals, through rehoming unwanted and neglected animals through their shelters, educating the public about responsible pet ownership, and, where possible, by supporting injured wildlife.
While I arrived too late to enjoy any cupcakes I met two very happy rescue dogs TJ and Taylor and caring staff members Liz and Zoe from the RSCPA.
I believe that an important measure of a just society is how we treat our vulnerable and care for our animal friends.
I thank the Member for North Sydney, Felicity Wilson, for her organisation of this popular parliamentary tradition.
