It was great to be able to speak at the Country Mayors Association Rural and Regional Health Forum, held at the Wagga Wagga Base Hospital on Friday.

I was very pleased to be able to welcome my Parliamentary colleagues, the Hon. Dr Michael Holland, Parliamentary Secretary for Regional Health, and Miss Tanya Thompson the Assistant Shadow Minister for Regional Health.

We were welcomed by Chair of the Country Mayors Association, Cr Jamie Chaffey and Deputy Chair, Cr Rick Firman.

There was much discussion around rural health workforce concerns in regional areas, right across the state.

I am personally committed to making sure that we get much better outcomes for our rural communities and for our rural people.
