MINISTER FOR EMERGENCY SERVICES VISITS WAGGA WAGGA

It was a pleasure to welcome the Minister for Emergency Services and Youth Justice, Jihad Dib, to Wagga Wagga this week when he announced a recruitment campaign for emergency services volunteers across the state.

We took the opportunity to experience the SES’s lifesaving work when we got aboard the service’s rescue boat at Wagga Beach.

Our volunteers are at the heart of community protection and it was great to recognise their passion and dedication.

Later, Minister Dib and I had an informative and productive visit to the Riverina Youth Justice Centre - a terrific opportunity to further examine ways in which we can work together to reduce youth crime and keep young people out of trouble.
