It was a pleasure to announce a new school speed zone on Fernleigh Road with the grade 1 class at St Mary MacKillop Colleges this week.

Joining us in announcing the installation of signs and an extension of the 40m/h zone from west of Hely Avenue to east of the Glenfield Rd intersection were principal Roland Von Marburg and teacher Theresa McLaurin.

Adding just nine seconds to the trip for drivers, the upgrade will keep kids from St Mary MacKillop and nearby Henschke school safer and allow the St Mary MacKillop community to move their main access to the school from Hely Avenue to Fernleigh Rd.
