EMERGENCY SIMULATION EXERCISES AT WAGGA.

It was fantastic to see the NSW SES in action during their recent emergency simulation exercises at Wagga. These exercises are an important part of strengthening our region’s readiness for flood events and ensuring teams can respond quickly and safely when it matters most.

The portable command centre was a real eye-opener — transported on a truck, yet operating as a fully equipped hub for coordination, communications and command.

A big thank you to Jobe and Troy for walking me through the technical side of the operation, and to Colin Ferns and Zone Commander Ben Pickup, who played key roles in bringing the whole exercise together.

For anyone interested in the full details of the simulation, you can read more here:

Our SES volunteers and staff do extraordinary work — it’s impressive to see the level of training and preparation happening behind the scenes.
