It’s incredible to think this started as a response to the drought and the need to help local farmers, and has grown into a celebration of real people, real art and real Australian spirit.
Congratulations to the organisers, volunteers and the Lockhart community who have kept it going for two decades.
Among many people there, it was great to catch up with John McDonnell and see the sculptures and artwork on display.
And congratulations to the sponsors who have been there from the start: Bendigo Bank, Riverina Water and Lockhart Shire Council.
