It was great to join the Wagga Women’s Health Centre team this to announce an important domestic and family violence prevention program will continue, thanks to a funding grant from the NSW Government.

The $220,000 grant will enable the centre to deliver its Men as Allies program in 2026 and comes after the program was threatened by the cessation of funding to the centre last year.

I’m proud to have worked with an active and engaged community to lobby the government to restore funding for the next 12 months and I hope the centre is successful in securing ongoing support after the expiration of the current funding round.

As a member of the Wagga Men’s Consultative Group, I know that changing the behaviour of men and boys is an important way of preventing violence and I look forward to supporting this work going forward.
