THREAD TOGETHER LAUNCH WAGGA WAGGA

It was an honour to attend the Wagga launch of the new Thread Together van, which will deliver dignity and hope to vulnerable people in our community.
Thread Together and Anglicare, supported by the Commonwealth Bank, are working together to deliver brand new clothes and shoes to people who need them, including those whose lives were devastated by the January bushfires.
As Anglicare deputy chief executive officer Brad Braithwaite said, there is a huge need for such a service in Wagga and the surrounds and this has been particularly noticed in 2019 and 2020.
What makes this project even better is that it helps people while also helping the environment.
Thread Together sources the end-of-season items from fashion retailers that would otherwise be headed for landfill and uses them to help vulnerable families.
I'm looking forward to seeing the custom-outfitted mobile vans on our roads soon.
