I was delighted to attend the launch of Aunty Gail Manderson’s publication My First Wiradjuri Dictionary today.
Not only is Wagga’s Aunty Gail a Wiradjuri elder and master weaver, she is also an educator, an artist and an author.
With the help of Miss Beck Driscoll’s class at Turvey park School, Aunty Gail created the children’s book to assist future generations of young students learn Wiradjuri Language.
I would like to congratulate Aunty Gail, Miss Driscoll and the students involved in the making of this wonderful book.
