It is absolutely fantastic to see that four projects across Wagga Wagga will share in over $1.1 million thanks to the Stronger Country Communities Fund (SCCF).
I welcome the announcement, which includes:
$189,220 to upgrade visitors change rooms and female facilities/clubrooms at
the MCUE Football and Netball Club to make the facility fit for purpose to host
women AFL and tennis players, umpires and volunteers.
$250,000 to install play equipment with rubberised soft fall and shade sails at
Estella Public School. The playground will include equipment for different age
groups to cover all students K-6 and will provide physical, social, cognitive and
emotional benefits for children.
$365,171 to install a six pole 200 lux LED lighting system that will meet both
the training and match day requirements at McPherson Oval.
$336,927 to replace the existing amenities building at Kessler Park with a new
fit for purpose building to include female friendly change rooms, referees
room, canteen, male, female & accessible toilets, swipe card access control
and CCTV.
After almost two years of COVID-19, I look forward to these funds being a boost to
the community organisations and their members and participants who have received
them.
