Yesterday, Minister for Agriculture Adam Marshall, presented $6,250 worth of books to Riverina schools impacted by the 2020 Dunns Road bushfire.
Books can have a wonderful impact on a child's life, and I hope the students of Batlow Technology High School, Adelong Public School, Rosewood Public School, Talbingo Public School and Tumbarumba Public School can enjoy these new reads, and take something important away from them for the future.
How wonderful too, that the books were bought locally from Collins Booksellers in Wagga, who supported the donation!
The books cover a diverse range of topics connected with the land and environment. The donation was funded through the Riverina Local Land Services Corporate Social Responsibility program.
