Last week I took part in forestry tour organised by the Softwoods Working Group, to learn more about the South West Slopes plantations a year on from the devastating Black Summer bushfires of late 2019 and early 2020.

I was able to visit one of the last salvage logging sites and see new plantings, while hearing about the industry's plan for the future from forestry and related industry representatives.
