This morning, a milestone was reached for Lake Albert, with Minister for Water Melinda Pavey and Wagga Wagga City Council Mayor Cr Greg Conkey signing an agreement which will give Council the ability to top up the lake, via a new pipeline.

This is a great step forward in supporting our community to grow and flourish. It gives Wagga Wagga City Council the certainty and confidence to do the work needed to secure a reliable water supply for Lake Albert.

I thank the Minister for her support and commend Wagga Wagga City council staff and councillors, particularly GM Peter Thompson, along with members of the community, who have worked so hard on this issue.
