Today I was at the Wagga Fossil Fools Day event, which took place outside the Wagga Wagga civic precinct. I spoke about the Electricity Infrastructure Investment Bill 2020, and how it will impact on the future of electricity generation and delivery in NSW, as well as touching on electric vehicles, solar energy and how farming is dealing with climate change.
The Climate Action Wagga group organised the event, which was also supported by Friends for Friday, Stop Adani Wagga, and Climate Rescue Wagga.
Fossil Fools Day was started in 2004 in USA and Canada as an environmental demonstration day, and is a play on April Fools’ Day.
