Back in May, Alex Greenwich, Greg Piper MP and myself wrote to the Health Minister and the Treasurer, supporting the Health Services Union in its campaigns on salary packaging, award modernisation and parking fees.

The three of us, as independent members, supported the call for the extension of a program at hospitals that have paid parking, to allow staff to park for free until the completion of the COVID-19 vaccination program.

Healthcare workers have been working hard to keep us safe during COVID-19 and, as we have seen in recent days, the pandemic is not over yet.

I am very happy to have been able to back hard-working health workers.
