Yesterday I attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the UNSW Biomedical Science Centre here in Wagga Wagga.
When completed, the purpose-built facility will provide clinical skills training to medical students, and allow students to stay close to family and friends in Wagga Wagga.
We will now be able to train the doctors, the nurses and the allied health people we need for our region right here, and they won't have to relocate to Sydney to train.
