It was great to welcome the Minister for Regional Health, Bronnie Taylor MLC, and Professor Jenny May, from the University of Newcastle, to the Medical Specialists Association conference here in Wagga Wagga this morning.
I spoke today on how critical it is that we are training the health professionals we need in rural areas, by rural teachers, for rural people.
We need to stop making excuses as to why we can’t act, and start thinking of solutions.
The Minister is making courageous statements about rural health and working with the Commonwealth, and this is a discussion we must continue to have.
