It was my absolute pleasure to meet (and pat!) four very special graduates yesterday, in Queenie, Cleo, Yaffa and Nova, who are now officially Seeing Eye Dogs!

The pups graduated in a ceremony at Parliament House yesterday, after being raised by volunteer carers under the guidance of a specialised handler prior, and undertaking an advanced Seeing Eye Dog training program.

Pictured with me is Rhiannon McLeish and her new seeing eye dog, Yaffa. Yaffa is Rhiannon’s second seeing eye dog. Her first, Kingston, has now retired and is taking it easy at home, lapping up the pats with Rhiannon and Yaffa.
