Yesterday I joined community representatives and councillors from across the state, including some from Cootamundra-Gundagai and Tumbarumba, out the front of Parliament House for the Keep Councils Local rally.

I spoke about what democracy means to Australians, and how communities have been stripped of democratic rights through these forced amalgamations.

I'd like to thank all of the community members who turned out to push for the demerger of their local councils.
