Tremendous to be at the 35th Annual Invitation run of the Wagga Wagga Society of Model Engineers this past weekend.

I presented the Club Achievement Award to Graham Barrow, and the Best Model Award to David Johnson.

I was accompanied on a ride by Peter Dale and his wife, Barbara. Peter is a patron of the club, and was partly responsible for its foundation grant. Also there enjoying the ride with us was my wife, Kerin, and her mother, Margaret Fielding.

It was fantastic to have another run on the trains; it's been quite some time since we brought our kids here!

Great to also chat with President of the club, Eric Hill, and Les Mouat, the sole remaining foundation member, who was in town visiting from Canberra for the weekend.

The three kilometres of track is a great tribute to the hard work of the club, which is a wonderful asset to Wagga Wagga, and the wider region.
