I had a marvellous time attending the celebration of 125 years of Philippine independence held here in Wagga Wagga, at the Kyeamba Smith Hall over the weekend.

A huge thank you to Annabelle Borja, President of the Wagga Wagga Philippines Association, and all of the members who put on a magnificent event.

The hall was absolutely packed, and it was wonderful to see so many members of the general community taking part and celebrating the multicultural nature of our community.

It was great to chat with SBS Presenter Annalyn Violata throughout the day, and enjoy the event alongside the Australian Consul General for the Philippines, Charmaine Rowena Aviquival, Mayor, Cr Dallas Tout, and CEO of the Multicultural Council, Belinda Crain.
