I attended the Regional State Emergency Service (SES) conference here in Wagga Wagga on Saturday afternoon; a joint session with the Rural Fire Service (RFS).

It was very informative, and it was great to see the evident teamwork between the two organisations.

As part of a team-building exercise we were required to use marshmallows and spaghetti sticks to create a tower!! I worked with these gentlemen from the RFS, Andrew Browning (Jerilderie) Greyd’n Davis (federation) and Russell Perry (Murray River), and I think we got pretty close to having the tallest tower!

A big shout out to the volunteers who have done so much, especially in recent years.

It truly was an honour to be invited and to attend the event.
