It was wonderful to be at the Wagga Wagga Country Club yesterday for the announcement that the club had been awarded a women’s Pro Am event for later this year.

The event will be held from November 22 to 24, with $50,000 in prize money.

The club held their first women’s Pro Am earlier this year, and so it is wonderful to see them secure another. In terms of women’s sport it could not come at a better time, with the fantastic boost to women’s sport provided by the Matildas!
