Today I joined the official launch of Albury Wodonga Foodshare in Wagga Wagga, hosted at the Carevan Centre. It was a privilege to stand alongside Mark Lucy and Katrina Pawley from Foodshare, Carol Parkinson and Ana Suarez from Vinnies, Lisa Smith from Argyle, David Brennan from Carevan, and Wagga Mayor Clr Dallas Tout.
Nearly a fifth of all food in Australian shops ends up in landfill. That’s a staggering waste — especially when so many families are struggling with food insecurity. This initiative helps redirect that food to people who really need it.
A big thank you to the NSW EPA for supporting this work. Together, we can cut waste, protect our environment, and make sure good food ends up on plates — not in landfill.
