It was a great pleasure to celebrate the Royal Flying Doctor Service’s 90th anniversary at parliament this week.
In that time, the service has saved countless lives and provided health care that underwrote the economic and social growth of remote NSW – what an amazing contribution by remarkable people!
As part of the celebrations, three runway flares symbolising “Hope”, “Heart” and “Faith” will be taken on a tour to say thank you to RFS staff and the communities that have supported this vital service for nine decades.
Thanks to my Independent colleague Roy Butler for hosting today’s events and most of all, thanks from the heart to every RFDS staff member and supporter for doing so much for the health and safety of regional communities.
The RFDS is unique and special, and I am proud to be a strong supporter of this organisation that delivers primary health care when it is most needed.
