It was a great honour today to present a Local Senior of the Year Award to Ngiyampaa elder Aunty Donna Kirby, in recognition of decades of care for to her community.

Aunty Donna has made an enormous contribution to the education and health of her community and has done amazing work in helping to keep local families safe.

She says it makes her ‘heart shine’ to help others and it was a pleasure to acknowledge that today by celebrating with Aunty Donna, her family, and members of the Ashmont Baptist Church.
