MLHD COVID-19 UPDATE
As of yesterday, new NSW Public Health orders will see people from interstate hotspots facing penalties from if they enter NSW. Anyone who has been in a hotspot area, including NSW residents, will be subject to stay at home direction for 14 days.
With the recent increase in COVID-19 cases in Melbourne, MLHD is taking necessary precautions with additional screening requirements for visitors and staff in all our facilities.
Anyone who has visited Melbourne, including NSW residents, should not attend aged care facilities, hospitals or other settings with vulnerable people for a period of 14 days.
The screening also applies to staff, who will be required to self-isolate for 14 days and be symptom-free before returning to work, if they have travelled to the greater Melbourne region.
Importantly, patients returning from Melbourne and Victorian retrieval teams will continue to be welcome in all our hospitals.
MLHD are also overseeing screening at key transport hubs for passengers from Melbourne arriving in Albury, Wagga and Griffith.
Anyone who feels unwell is invited to call the Murrumbidgee COVID hotline on 1800 831 099 to book a test
