MONUMENT TO HONOUR BRAVERY OF THOSE WHO DEFENDED BATLOW

Construction has wrapped up on a monument at "Wilgro" Batlow, honouring the heroes who defended the town during the Dunns Road fire in January.

I'm not shocked to hear that the community are responding with a lot of positive feedback after it's unveiling. Well done to those who worked on the construction - and managed to remain socially distant while at it!

Thank you once again to those who stayed and fought for the town during the fires. I hope this thoughtfully created monument so goes some way in expressing the immense gratitude the community feels for the work you did.
