It was wonderful to visit The Leisure Company, tour their premises and meet with some of their clients such as Beau, Tanya and Tia.

Today I had the opportunity to discuss wins and current challenges with chief executive Libby Clohessy.

Clearly, the NDIS has created some great opportunities for those with special abilities, but roadblocks remain.

Transport was raised as one such challenge, where the mobility allowance has not increased and community transport services are no longer providing subsidised travel.

I have written to the NSW government minister Andrew Constance about this issue.

Mr Constance has indicated transitional funding will be made available.

I will continue to monitor this across coming months.
