I was honoured to attend the launch of the 2021 Wagga School Leaders Program yesterday, at Charles Sturt University. What an inspiring morning!
Students from Wagga Wagga High School, Mater Dei Catholic College, The Riverina Anglican College (pictured here with me), Wagga Wagga Christian College, Kildare Catholic College and Kooringal High School were part of the launch event, which featured keynote addresses from David Bardos (Business Development Manager NSW, Port of Melbourne and Secretary of Committee for Wagga), and Judy Galloway (Founder and Director at Sureway Employment & Training and Inaugural Chair of Committee for Wagga).
The program engages students in a series of challenging mental and physical exercises including mentoring sessions, regional industry excursions, abseiling at the Army Recruit Training Centre Kapooka, workshops and lectures to develop their capacity to become successful leaders and representatives for their community.
Thanks to C4W for facilitating this wonderful program, and thank you to all of the local leaders who came along to share and speak with the students.
