NSW Taxi industry pledge

In 2016, rules for transport services were changed in NSW, and because of the reforms, many taxi license owners lost almost the entire value of their licenses.

This week in parliament I signed the NSW taxi driver pledge, pushing for fair compensation for taxi license holders across the state.

In November last year, I made a private member’s statement expressing concern about these and other challenges currently facing the industry.

Hansard records of that statement can be read here.
