It was a pleasure to meet teaching practitioners and school leaders from across the school sector when Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect) visited parliament this week.
The first event of its type, the gathering was a great opportunity to hear the latest about best practice in supporting autistic students.
I particularly enjoyed meeting the principal and deputy principal of Wagga’s Aspect Riverina School, Kathryn Stuart and Amanda Yates, who are doing an amazing job in the education and support of K-7 students and making a real difference in the lives of young people and their families.
