Thank you to Local Government Minister Ron Hoenig for joining me on an inspection of the Gobba Bridge site, as I continue to work with the government to get work started on planning for the duplication of the bridge.

It was great to show the minister first-hand the pressures that the bridge is already under and encouraging to receive his acknowledgement that the duplication is clearly necessary.

It will be a huge job that won’t happen overnight, but I welcome the minister’s confirmation that the issue is firmly on the government’s radar. I’ll continue to raise it with the government at every opportunity and look forward to discussing this critical issue with the Premier when he visits Wagga this week.
